Compress PowerPoint Online
A smaller PPTX file.
- Free
- No watermarks
What you get
- Only the pictures inside get smaller. Text, fonts, animations, transitions and slide layout stay as they were.
- On the 14 presentations we tested, files shrank to about half their size on average with no visible difference on the slides; large decks often become 2–3 times smaller.
- Usually under a minute. Decks full of PNG images can take 2–3 minutes.
- Presentations up to 1.25 GB.
If it didn't work
- Hardly smaller? Then most of the size is video or sound, which stay as they are. Extract the videos to see them separately.
- Pictures already compressed in PowerPoint leave little to gain.
- Upload stopped on a weak connection? Keep the page open: it continues from where it stopped.
What next
- The result is a regular PPTX: it opens in PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides.
- Sending it to someone without PowerPoint? PowerPoint to PDF.
Questions
Will photos lose quality?
Pictures larger than 2560 px are scaled down to 2560 px; JPEG and WebP are saved again in good quality, PNG without loss. In our test the slides looked the same.
Is my file kept?
No: files are deleted automatically after processing.
